Not of lot of beach left last Friday as we witnessed one of the highest tides of the year with the Watering Hole almost becoming an island.

What a beautiful shot from local photographer James Turnbull of the boat shaped boating lake at Perranporth. You can just about make out Crest View in the top right of the picture - showing how close to the beach we are.

Probably the best beach in Cornwall for walking your dogs. Endless sand and rock pools to explore for dogs of all shapes and sizes and all just a couple of minutes walk from Crest View. School holidays are fully booked now but if you like your beach a little bit quieter there are plenty of off peak options left.

Fantastic Valentine’s Day sunset at Perranporth with the low tide making Chapel rock a perfect place to view it from. Still a couple of weeks available during school holidays and a few either side if you prefer your beach a little quieter.

As the season comes to an end, we get to see some of the feedback that our guests have left over the summer. Looks like the house has given a lot of people some lovely holidays this year.

A big thumbs up for Crest View from a recent visitor 😃

Duchy Holidays provide a range of self-catering holidays in and around the beautiful seaside town of Perranporth in North Cornwall. Many of the Duchy properties are dog friendly, so we headed there for a 5 night stay with Puggy Smalls, Pugyay, Pops and Pomegranate!

The Sunday Times names Perranporth as the best beach in Cornwall

Five Cornish beaches are included in the list but its compiler said he could have easily included 30 Cornish beaches from the 800 he visited
