Burmieston is a beautifully restored farm in rural Perthshire where people come to stay, reconnect, create and learn. Whether you’re booking a holiday, joining a retreat, hosting a workshop or planning a team getaway, you’ll find space, nature and genuine hospitality.

When we post stuff here, I always think of those who have been and know us. But of course, that’s forgetting about the people we haven’t met yet, who haven’t been here. It is that time of year again when we look out for armies of peacock butterfly caterpillars on the nettles. We let areas of the farm go wild to have their moment providing opportunity for wildlife. It is joyful to observe the birds and the bugs. Come see sometime!

Make your own cordage!
Our next course is now live on www.burmieston.co.uk. Come to beautiful Burmieston to learn all about making your own cordage/ rope with found materials with multidisciplinary artist . Ever thought you could make something with daffodil stems? Or those old bits of plastic lying about?

Get out of your head, into your hands and create something tactile and beautiful. Why not stay too, have a go in our sauna and eat gorgeous food.

Seriously impressed with Olly's photo from last night. To me, it shows the warmth of light and deep chats around nourishing food. The building, standing the test of time, changing use but remaining steadfast alongside our enormous Burmieston sycamore that's about to burst into leaf as the days get everywhere longer and the light extends.
We have lots of availability over the next few months. Perhaps it's the moment for you and your loved ones to come and celebrate, stay, play and be at Burmieston.
