Baxter has had his first outing to a dog friendly cafe in a while, The Tickled Trout in Almondbank!

It’s a new cafe situated on the beautiful banks of the River Almond with picturesque views. There is outside seating to enjoy the views and sunshine and dogs are welcome inside too.

They have a good food selection on their menu and my favourite of cakes and ice cream 😋

Baxter was made very welcome and they made sure he had fresh cold water since it’s quite warm today.

There is a beautiful walk along the River Almond not far from here which is well shaded and has some safe spots where your dog can paddle if they like the water.

Friendly staff, fab service, great selection of food and a beautiful location!

Baxter will definitely be back again soon ❤️🐾

We are very relieved to be in level 2! That means from Monday 2nd November (although we’re closed MondayTuesday) we will now be permitted to sell alcohol indoors with a main meal until 8pm. All alcohol served without a main meal will still have to be outside. Everyone has to be out by 8pm but we will still be open for takeaway orders until 8.30pm and serving drinks until 10pm. Slowly but surely, things are getting better. 😁🍻

We are looking forward to our first steak night since lockdown 😁 Beef reared in the farm, starters to savour and you should see the desserts 😍

Just seven sleeps till Oktoberfest goes live, here at The Taybank. We've worked with some of the country's best indy breweries and are delighted to bring you a rolling selection of beers over every weekend in October from Friday 9th!

We have beers from Pilot, WEST Beer, Black Isle Brewery, The Original Budweiser Budvar, North Brewing Co, Wylam Brewery, Hofbräuhaus München - Das Original, Timmermans Beers, BrewDog OverWorks, Newbarns Brewery to name but a few.

You'll also find wursts, our own sauerkraut and pretzels. All served from our outdoor kitchen, ready to be enjoyed in our huge beer garden.

It’s been one wild old week, late nights, early mornings, mountains of boxes and masses of cleaning, but we’ve done it. Our amazing little team have pulled out all the stops and helped us realise our dream of having a indie store of our very own.

That’s us all ready to throw the doors open for you at 10am tomorrow. Come on in and say hello ☺️
