Boots on, sandwiches packed… sometimes the best days out are the simplest ones.

A good walk, a packed lunch and views across the Elan Valley.

With miles of paths, reservoirs, dams and some absolutely beautiful scenery, it’s one of those places where you can easily lose a few hours.

Autumn is such a lovely time to explore this part of Mid Wales too, a little cooler, the colours starting to change, moody skies… and plenty of excuse to find somewhere for coffee & cake afterwards.

Autumn just got a little warmer…

The temperature might be dropping, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing… Because this is the time of year when hot tubs, wood-fired saunas, outdoor baths and evenings beside the fire really come into their own.

There’s something rather lovely about sinking into a hot tub on a chilly evening, warming up in a sauna after a long walk or sitting beside the roaring fire for just one more drink…
