Thank goodness for the Environmental Agency keeping the sea at bay and the shingle moved on a constant basis to keep the beach from disappearing…

We now can’t stay at The Beach Hive from Saturday for 6 nights, so if anyone wants some time away it’s available to book...

So my mother has just given my sisters and I this new cook book which has amazing new ideas for salads/dressings and cooking with fish and meat… this is my attempt at ‘A little cucumber and a lot of herb salad’… so my tahini had died so I used salted peanuts instead with sesame oil and blended it all up with all the other relevant ingredients - so it wasn’t as runny but nonetheless delicious… I added salad leaves from a friends garden - No slugs Becky! This book - Saladology is by Theo Kirwan and his brother Jack from .. we are also cousins by sadly have never met! I shall keep posting with my other attempts !!
