A traditional, solid stone mid terrace house with accommodation arranged over three floors. It is estimated that the property was built in approximately 1830 - It is very old! Many of the houses along the street and town are Grade II listed, and The Swiss Cottage is part of a conservation area, and valued as a place of local interest to be maintained for years to come. There is a double story flat roof section to the house at the rear, built in the 1950s and accommodating the Kitchen and additional bedroom and reading room. The front faces a westerly direction, offering the back garden both morning and evening sun opportunities each day. Enjoy an evening Pimms in the summer house at the back and escape into your private haven.

Circular walk from the Newton under Roseberry NYM car park. Chargers for Ev’s, toilets, easy access to the hikes. 4km hike - there are longer easier routes, with quite a climb. It really looks like the Matterhorn of Yorkshire!

Absolutely fabulous sofa clean!

Our cottage has a large 5 seater sofa, which is very well used. The sit traffic, especially in the summer is extremely high, and so the sofa certainly takes a lot. As the cottage welcomes dogs and children, a bit of grub from use is expected to appear from time to time.

I’m absolutely astonished by how sparkly ✨ the sofa now looks again. In hindsight, we made a mistake in such a pale colour, but Flawless Fibres has brought it back to life again. We will be welcoming Flawless Fibres back again for future sofa cleans, and strongly recommend them for other sofa cleaning needs. I’m even confident in saying I’m sure they would be great at other fabrics in the household.

This keyboard was born in the 80s and still works! Not a single key with a loose connection. The one I bought for my children to practice piano on while in the uk has several keys which no longer function. It’s not through their use, it’s simply because it’s failed. Our strange culture of making things which need to be replaced quickly - the IK3A lifestyle. So much waste 😔 Does anyone else feel it’s more of a thing these days?
