For our guests who are steam railway enthusiasts ... Tornado is visiting NYMR this Summer, the first main line steam locomotive built in the UK since 1960! We have Thurs 11th to Sat 13th September available at the cottage if anyone wants a very short break and to see this magnificent engine pass by? There's a pre-booked seat allocated service for Tornado on those days. Please contact us if you're interested in a short visit!!!

Exciting news that No. 60103 Flying Scotsman will be in action at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway between Grosmont and Pickering this late-autumn!

We are fully booked in October, but dates in November are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 and we currently have availabilty if anyone wants to stay at the cottage and watch this magnificent engine pass slowly by!
