I knew Karen and Claire were heading for the Lion at Blakey for lunch, so when they phoned to say they’d found a sheep stuck in a tree I naturally thought they may have overindulged.

Turns out there was a sheep stuck in a tree….

Thanks to them spotting this little girl in time we managed to rescue it, probably saving her life.

It turned out to be one of this year’s bottle fed lambs (so had been fed by Karen and Claire on one of their previous visits) and was friendly enough to hang around and have its ears scratched before rejoining the others.

Our latest little arrival came into the world by C-section and is already proving to be a little fighter. 💪🐮
Within no time at all, this calf was up on its feet and straight on the milk bar! 🍼

Meet Margo and Audrey, named in honour of the wonderful Penelope Keith. With Jerry keeping a watchful eye on them, they'll no doubt be living The Good Life at Craven Garth Cottages, minus the suburban squabbles, but hopefully with just as much charm!
