Swallowtails ticks all the boxes for the perfect glamping holiday. Who are we?

Swallowtails is a glampsite and campsite set in the countryside on the edge of Pickering with luxury en suite glamping yurts, 'Lotus Belle' tents and pitches for tents, campervans and smaller motorhomes. The glampsite is set in the countryside well away from any main roads, but just a short walk from the centre of Pickering known as the gateway to North York Moors. There are lovely country walks o

r cycle rides in all directions and the medieval city of York and the stunning Yorkshire coastline are only half an hour away by car. Dalby Forest and Flamingoland are a cycle ride away and you can pick up your shopping in town or stroll to a pub or restaurant without having to get in your car. Swallowtails really is the ideal base for a holiday in beautiful North Yorkshire. Our glampsite offers a range of focused activities for kids and families designed to allow guests to connect with nature and develop creativity. This gives parents quality family time and/or the opportunity to truly relax in tranquil surroundings or have a day to themselves knowing that their children are being looked after by qualified nature and art activity leaders. We offer stylish, cosy, hassle free boutique glamping in the form of spacious luxury en suite yurts and award winning 6m insulated 'Lotus Belle' tents which can accommodate 4- 6 guests comfortably. Why not come where you can dream under dark night skies listening to the crackle of your campfire, spot shooting stars and know that a wood burning stove is warming your yurt for your imminent return. All knowing that the kids are soundly asleep after a day of fresh air and fun. Wake up in your quilted bubble and listen to the sounds of the nature coming alive. Mark and Freya have run Swallowtails since 2015 and love to create wholesome glamping holidays. Mark and Freya live on the campsite with their two children, Maeve and Seth. Freya is a landscape artist and experienced art teacher who has been working with children and adults for the last 15 years. Mark is a highly experience environmental educator who has run education programmes on Hampstead Heath in London and for Norfolk County Council since
