As visitors are often asking us about local events on Westray that they may wish to visit, we have installed an information panel that contains all the information visitors may wish to know about that is going on in Westray.

We have now installed in all bedrooms and living areas, sockets with dual USB charging points.

Special 13A sockets, each equipped with dual USB charger outlets. Each socket has a high current (max 2.4A @ 5v) port, ideal for charging tablets, phablets etc. and a low current (max 1.2A @ 5v) port, ideal for charging smaller devices like mobile phones, cameras, GPS etc.

You need to bring your own suitable leads to match your devices (some leads available upon request), but now you don't need to plug in you power converter brick (or "wall-wart"). Ideal if you don't have a charger for UK sockets, or you forgot to bring your own.

When not in use, these ports enter low power mode to save on electricity and so, are not powered up all the time. They only use electricity when you connect a device for charging. So they are good for the environment too.
