The Old Mill Inn is a family owned inn, offering excellent accommodation, food and service. Recently renovated to a high standard, The Old Mill Inn started life as a Corn Mill situated in the heart of the highland resort of Pitlochry. The Old Mill can be found in the heart of Pitlochry which is situated at the centre of Perthshire, making it an ideal location for touring the highlands or having a relaxing break. Historic inn accommodation within The Old Mill Inn is also close to the A9, and the town’s railway station. The station is served by local and inter-city services, and is well connected with most parts of Scotland.

🎶 The place to be this weekend in Pitlochry! 🍻

Live music, great food, a buzzing bar and plenty of reasons to make a weekend of it at The Old Mill Inn!

🎸 Friday: Josh & Mark live from 9.30pm, with contemporary covers from a local duo.

🎤 Saturday: Cover Daddy takes the stage from 9.30pm, bringing plenty of energy and classic covers. Plus, live sport on the big screens throughout the day!

🍽️ Sunday: Our Sunday roasts are served from 12 noon, with Angus beef and all the trimmings. Then settle in for an afternoon of live sport.

Whether you're joining us for a bite to eat, a few drinks or a night of live music, we look forward to seeing you!

The fire’s on, the evenings are drawing in and there’s always time for a proper pint. 🍺🔥

We love having Scottish brewers on the bar, with Cromarty Brewing Co and Wasted Degrees among our regular local real ale suppliers. Ask the team what’s pouring when you pop in.

No big plans required. Just good company and a cosy corner at The Old Mill Inn.

A little breakfast inspiration from The Old Mill Inn! 🍳

Our naturally smoked haddock, topped with perfectly poached free-range Perthshire eggs, is a firm favourite on our breakfast menu.

Simple, fresh and full of flavour, it's a delicious way to start the day before heading out to explore beautiful Highland Perthshire.

PERTHSHIRE: OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
Caisteal Dubh, Moulin 🏰

Just around a kilometre north of Pitlochry, tucked away near the village of Moulin, are the remains of Caisteal Dubh - the Black Castle of Moulin.

It’s thought to have been built around 1326 by Sir John Campbell of Lochawe, originally standing on an island or crannog in a small loch that has long since been drained.

And its ending is even more intriguing.

The castle was reportedly burned in 1512 amid fears of plague, leaving behind the ruins you can still see today.

It’s one of those places you could pass for years without ever realising just how much history is sitting quietly in the Perthshire landscape.

If you like finding the places that don’t always make the guidebooks, add Caisteal Dubh to your list next time you’re exploring Pitlochry.
