A little escape at Atholl Estates 🐑 There’s something rather special about settling into one of our two shepherd huts as the days grow shorter. One returning guest describes it beautifully:

“We have been visiting since the accommodation opened and we just love our annual visit. The huts have all the comforts you need while giving peace from the modern distractions we are keen to escape. The location is so picturesque with romantic views to ruins scattered across the hills and plenty of sheep for company! It's become an oasis for us and one we love to return to year after year.”

A particularly beautiful time of year here on Atholl Estates 🤍

As late summer gives way to early autumn, the rolling hills surrounding Blair Castle are covered in a vibrant carpet of purple heather, creating a beautiful backdrop for our famous white castle.

Public notice | 15th-24th July 2026 | The current "very high" wildfire danger assessment has been extended and will stay in force until this Friday.

In line with the Cairngorms National Park Fire Management Bylaw, it is an offence to light a fire in the National Park from 1st April to 30th September. Across the whole estate, we ask guests and visitors to be extra vigilant during this period and not to: drop ci******es, or light campfires or barbecues.
