We've experienced this too. Quite a few 'regulars' have returned more than once this summer to escape the heat of the south. We've had it warmer and dryer than usual up here too, but not like the extremes of the south. Quite a few have also already booked two week slots next summer in anticipation of the same thing happening. Good for us I suppose but extremely worrying about the longer term climate impacts. I hope the return of the rain is a good thing, although there is of course always worry about flooding following drought.

Scotland and other northern European nations are seeing more tourists as people avoid the heat.

Quite a few nights available in August across Cow Shed 2 & Lettoch Beag. And given it's such short notice and of course we'd like to try and fill the gaps as much as we can we're offering an extra night free on stays of 2 nights or longer. So stay for 3, pay for 2. **July & August availability – Cow Shed 2, Killiecrankie near Pitlochry**

We still have some summer availability at **Cow Shed 2**, our peaceful one-bedroom self-catering cottage in Highland Perthshire.

It’s perfect for a couple looking for a quiet summer break, with lovely views, great walking and cycling nearby, and Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy all within easy reach.

Cow Shed 2 is a cosy converted barn with a woodburning stove, private outdoor seating, bike storage and EV charging available on site. It’s adults-only, so ideal for a calm, relaxing getaway.

Short breaks are available, with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
