A little behind-the-scenes glimpse of our poor, hard-done-by whippet, Hugo, who has pancakes specially made for him once breakfast service is finished. It’s a hard life!

Hugo stays behind the scenes, as our guest house is just for human guests, but rest assured that our breakfast menu has been fully approved by a highly experienced sighthound.

We thoroughly enjoyed the moving and bold new adaptation of Lear at Pitlochry Festival Theatre this week. The whole cast, the staging and production were fantastic. Lear starring Maureen Beattie and Forbes Masson is on now until 1st August.

We’re so lucky to have this fantastic theatre in the town with a really exciting programme for this year under the direction of Alan Cu***ng.

We’re an easy twenty-minute stroll from the theatre and still have rooms available across the summer period, so make a trip of it and book your tickets for the theatre and your stay with us at the same time!

A brilliant day at GWCT Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace on Sunday. I was useless at taking pictures, but we thoroughly enjoyed terrier racing, gun dog demonstrations, archery and falconry, to name but a few. As well as hot dogs, cake and many other treats!

Next year's event is from 2nd to 4th July, and our rooms are available to book now, just a 30-minute drive from the fair. Combine a brilliant day out with a break in beautiful Pitlochry!

Well hello there, new sign 👀

We’ve had a little glow-up at Beinn Bhracaigh, and our new logo is now proudly in place.

It’s been lovely seeing the refreshed look come to life, from the logo itself to this shiny new sign at the entrance.

Same warm welcome, same beautiful views, just looking a little sharper at the gate.

Not a bad backdrop for some good news.

We’re delighted to share that Beinn Bhracaigh has been awarded a 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, placing us in the top 10% of listings worldwide, for the second year running.

This award means a great deal because it is based on guest reviews - from people who have stayed with us, enjoyed time in Pitlochry, looked out over this view, and taken a moment to share their experience.

So we thought this was the perfect spot to share the news: a quiet window to a beautiful view, a little Perthshire rain on the glass, and an award we’re incredibly proud of.

Our moody dark green bar is home to a carefully chosen collection of 38 whiskies, from smooth and gentle drams to rich, smoky pours with real Highland character.

To help guests explore the shelves with confidence, we’ve divided the collection into four simple flavour profiles:

Easy & Light - smooth, gentle, honeyed and soft
Fruity & Fresh - bright orchard fruits, citrus and a lively finish
Rich & Indulgent - sherry, caramel, raisin, toffee and chocolate
Smokey & Bold - peat smoke, bonfire, maritime salt and spice

Simply choose the profile that appeals to you, pick a dram from that section, and start exploring.

With 38 whiskies on the shelf, you’ll need more than a couple of nights to sample them all… which sounds like a very good reason to stay a little longer.
