Wellwood was buit in the early 1800's and sits in its own grounds providing a peaceful santuary for guests while still being only a 5 minute walk to the main street,shops, and many restaurants. The rooms,continually upgraded, are decorated to reflect the style of the house with antique furniture and period style wall paper. We provide a large selection of breakfasts from "full Scottish" to contine

ntal style and options in between. Our aim is to provide a memorable stay. We have a very high percentage of returning guests which we're very pleased to welcome back. New guests are also welcome and our staff can provide information of things to see and do during your stay including sight seeing, theatre and eating out. The gardens have a small forrest and orchard and the grounds meander down to a river where we are regularily visited by ducks and moor hens.
