Dear our valued guests,
We are ready to open on the 4th of July. We are going to operate the new way of to practice the best hygiene to become the Covid -19 secure Guesthouse in Plymouth and to protect our staff and
your health and safety. This is our guideline how you will expect to book your accommodation with from 4th of July onwards.
1. Bookings:
-All the bookings need to do online or by the phone with providing full information of contact details. The deposits need to be paid in advance electronically to reserve the rooms. You can choose to pay the final bill when you arrive by cards or pay in advance online.
2. Online breakfast menu:
- The guests will be sent via email online breakfast menus before arrival to minimise the direct contact with the host when arriving to the guesthouse. Please provide any allergen information when filling out the menu to make a notice to our staff when preparing breakfast for the guests.
2. Check in
- When the guests check in, hand sanitiser dispensers are placed at all entry points to a property so the guest can sanitise their hands and we will you the sanitised keys.
3. Bedrooms
- Cleaning and disinfection protocols are followed when cleaning guest accommodation. Particular attention is paid to frequently touched items including light switches, temperature control panels, door and furniture handles, television remote controls, toilet seats and handles, taps, telephones, kitchen appliances and flooring. All linen are washed at a high temperature and in accordance with HSE guidelines. Dirty linen are bagged immediately to eliminate excess contact while it’s transported to the property’s laundry facility.
- All rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival. In order to respect your safety, housekeeping services will not be offered during your stay. Should you require a top up of any complimentary room items such as tea/coffee simply leave a note at reception table and we will leave them at your door for you.
4. Breakfast
-We are able to offer deliver the breakfast food trays to your room. We set food on a tray in the hallway and notify the guest when the trolley is outside of their room. The guest can then retrieve their own food/drinks. We will ask guests to place their tray outside their room when they finish their meal and then notify the relevant employee to retrieve it.
5. Staff Covid 19 training
- All employees receive comprehensive training on COVID-19 safety and disinfection protocols.
6. Hand hygiene
- All employees always wash their hands frequently and as required, for a minimum of 20 seconds or use sanitiser regularly if hands are visibly clean.
- Our staff wash their hands as often as necessary, but always in the following circumstances:
■ Before starting work
■ Before handling cooked or ready-to-eat food
■ Before eating
■ After handling or preparing raw food
■ After handling waste
■ After cleaning duties including sweeping/mopping etc.
■ After using the toilet
■ After blowing nose, sneezing or coughing
■ After eating, drinking or smoking
■ After handling money
7. Dealing with guest having Covid-19 symptoms
If a guest develops symptoms of COVID-19 or is asymptomatic but declares the need to self-isolate, they must check-out immediately and return home to self isolate. If they are unable to return home and need to extend their stay, they will be restricted to their room for 14 days. Food can be delivered to their door. However, nothing can be removed from the room until after their departure. Rooms will then be sealed off for 72 hours before being deep cleaned. Normal tariff charges will apply for any additional nights stayed.
8. Check out
All your bill have been paid in advance so your invoice will be sent via email. Simply leave your key on the hall table on your way out.
