I completed the conservation and maintenance works to the West Wing Block at Antony House last week, helped by a good run of weather throughout the project.
The work included:
• Preparation and decoration of all windows, doors and rainwater goods
• Replacement of broken crown glass
• Re-puttying windows where required
• Timber repairs to multiple windows
• Easing and adjustment of opening windows
• Roof slate repairs
• Installation of a vented slate
• Lime mortar repointing to the parapet wall joints
• Repointing around window fillets
• Leadwork repairs
• Repairs to damaged stonework
• Removal of established ivy
