3rd - 7th August. Polperro looks like the Med at the moment. The sea is warm and lovely! The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk, or there are lots of others a 10 minute drive away.

Hot tub, dining dome, outdoor kitchen. Huge outdoor area with a shady woodland area for hot days.

You could be on this beach next week...

One of our recent guests said it was the best beach she'd ever been to in the UK and we'd have to agree with her!

It's just a 5 minute drive ( or 40 minute walk)from Penlea. The sea is crystal clear and you can swim without a wetsuit at the moment.

3 night stay available 15th - 18th July at Penlea Cottage which has a huge furnished outdoor space with Karami hot tub. It's bliss!

If you want to walk the South West Coast Path to Polruan, as Raynor Winn does at the end of her book The Salt Path, its just a 5 minute walk from Penlea Retreats to the path.

At the end of your walk vome back to soak in the hot tub and ease those aching legs!

Recently we had some guests who had what I thought was the perfect Polperro day.

They had a morning swim in Chapel.Pool, the natural.swimming pool below the coast path.
They had lunch on the roof terrace of The Three Pilchards overlooking the village
They then travelled to Looe on the boat from the harbour
Then there was a special anniversary dinner at The Fish Market, where you can watch the chef prepare your fish tapas in his open kitchen.
They rounded it all off with a soak under the stars in the hot tub.
Glorious!

The whole village is covered in twinkling fairy lights. The pubs are warm and cosy with roaring fires and fabulous food. Don't miss Sunday Lunch if you are here for the weekend.

Penlea Retreat is great in colder weather. Relax in a steaming hot tub and listen to the owls hooting in the trees.
