[ad] New military tattoo set to make Poole debut this September, celebrating service personnel, veterans and military heritage.
The inaugural Poole Military Tattoo β Salute to the Services will be held on Saturday 12th September and aims to bring together military music, ceremonial displays and community organisations for what organisers hope will become a regular fixture in Dorset's events calendar.
The event will feature marching bands, military pageantry, cadet displays, veterans' tributes and live music performances, with organisers describing it as a family-friendly celebration of the armed forces and their connection to local communities.
Built around the themes of honouring service, inspiring community and celebrating heritage, the tattoo will also highlight Dorset's longstanding military links and the role played by serving personnel, veterans and military families across the region.
Organisers say the event has been designed to appeal to both those with direct military connections and wider audiences interested in music, history and ceremonial tradition.
Military tattoos are best known for combining military bands and precision displays with storytelling and commemoration. The Poole event is intended to bring a similar style of production to Dorset while supporting a range of military charities and organisations that assist serving personnel, veterans and their families.
The organisers also hope the event will attract visitors from across the South West, adding a new attraction to the county's late-summer events programme.
While full details of the participating bands, performers and organisations have yet to be announced, tickets have now gone on sale ahead of the September event.
