Waterside House Campsite, Ullswater Waterside Farm Campsite Ullswater We are a working farm and campsite on the shore of Ullswater in the Lake District .

Waterside House farm and Campsite has been run by the same family for five generations. The farmhouse is dated 1694 and is part of a working farm with land covering 279 acres. The farm is home to a flock of Swaledale Ewes, who spend most of their time on the nearby Barton Fell. At certain times of the year you may see the sheep being dipped, sheared or even the birth of a lamb.You will certainly s

ee sheepdogs at work. Cattle and calves are reared and can be seen in the fields around the campsite during the summer months

Waterside House provides excellent facilities and a peaceful park in which to relax and enjoy your holiday in the midst of the Lakeland Scenery. Our clients, many of whom return year after year, are mainly families, couples, walkers and a few well-supervised groups who enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Facilities include

•Hand & hair dryers
•Chemical disposal point
•Disabled Toilet
•Fully equipped laundry
•Childrens adventure area (in the family field)
•A well stocked shop with gas and bottle exchange

•Boat launch and car-parking
•Boat storage facility on the lake shore (all year)
•Volley ball and table tennis (free of charge)
• Recycling (paper glass and cans)

A huge thank you to everyone who camped and glamped with us at Waterside this week ☀️

You brought the sunshine, stuck to the site rules, and created such a brilliant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. From lakeside picnics to late-night fire pits, it’s been one of those weeks that reminds us why we love what we do.

Safe travels home to all of you and if you’re currently finding grass or marshmallows in your car… that’s just proof of a good trip 🏕️🔥

Sometimes its nice to escape Ullswater to see what other sights Cumbria has to offer. Last night we drove to Rannerdale Knotts just next door to Buttermere to see (and smell) the famous bluebells and a few nosey Herdwicks! Stunning!❤🥰
