❤️ A really special story from Stag & Stay ❤️
On 5th September, we had two couples visiting from Germany staying with us at Stag & Stay.
During their stay, one of our neighbours suffered a cardiac arrest on the street. The German guests stepped in and helped during what was an extremely serious situation, and I understand their quick response made a huge difference to the outcome.
A few days later, the neighbour’s wife approached me personally to tell me what had happened. She congratulated me on Stag & Stay and said something that really touched me:
“If your business wasn’t here, my husband would have died.”
I don’t know exactly who did what during those moments, so I don’t want to take anything away from anyone involved. What I do know is that these two couples were there when help was desperately needed, and they stepped forward.
It’s amazing to think that people visiting Scotland, staying in a little property here in Inverclyde, could end up being part of such an important moment in one of our neighbour’s lives.
To our German guests — thank you. 🇩🇪❤️🏴
As a small gesture of my appreciation, I’ll be inviting them back for a free night at Stag & Stay whenever they next visit Scotland.
Sometimes you never know what story is going to come through your front door. ❤️
