In late spring and early summer the coastline and seas around Port Isaac are full of life and it’s an incredible spectacle. There are seabirds, even puffins if you’re lucky, seals and often dolphins, all set to a backdrop of green cliffs carpeted with colourful wildflowers.

The coast of Cornwall is a riot of colour in the spring when all of the wildflowers bloom. In Port Isaac, it seems as though there’s Red Valerian growing out of every bank and wall, and it only serves to make the village even prettier.

Cornwall Open Studios runs from Saturday 23rd May to Sunday 31st May, and in Port Isaac you can visit the studios of local artists Stacey Sibley, Lyndsey Bradbury, Louise Green and Caroline Cleave and watch them at work.

It’s a wonderful week to be an art-lover visiting Cornwall, and of course many of the villages other galleries and working artists’ studios will also be open to view and enjoy.
