JOIN OUR RECEPTION TEAM
We’re looking for someone to join our team at The Royal Sportsman Hotel in a full-time, year-round salaried position.
Our reception team is at the very heart of the hotel. Reception is the central hub that keeps everything moving – welcoming our guests, working closely with housekeeping and the kitchen, managing bookings and helping our bar and restaurant teams during busy periods.
This isn’t a reception job where you’ll spend your whole shift sitting behind a desk. We’re looking for someone who enjoys a busy, active and varied working day and is happy to get involved wherever needed.
Your role will include:
* Welcoming guests and checking them in and out
* Chatting with guests and helping with recommendations and local information
* Taking hotel and restaurant bookings over the phone and through our online booking systems
* Processing payments and managing guest accounts
* Answering telephone and email enquiries
* Liaising with our housekeeping and kitchen teams throughout the day
* Helping our bar and restaurant teams during busy periods
* Being a central point of contact for both guests and the rest of the hotel team
You’ll work on a set rota, with a mixture of morning and evening shifts and every third weekend off, giving you the benefit of knowing your working pattern in advance.
This is a full-time, year-round salaried role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, likes variety and wants to become an important part of a small hotel team.
Previous hotel or reception experience would be an advantage, but just as important to us is finding someone who is friendly, organised, confident with people and happy to get stuck in. You’ll also need to be comfortable using a computer for basic day-to-day tasks, including emails and our hotel booking systems.
