Chef Required
As the Hotel Aqua expands its current restaurant with Sunday Roast and Cabaret & Jazz nights, we are looking to expand our kitchen team and diversify our menu. This is a great opportunity for a Sous Chef to spread their wings and prove their ability, or for a Head Chef looking for a slightly less stressful environment. Covering a variety of flexible shifts, including some breakfast, some weekend, some evening services (25-35 covers), you will play a crucial role in the success of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring all food is prepared, cooked and stored to the highest standards. Expertise in food safety and food preparation, especially sea food and freshly prepared dishes, will help bring the Hotel Aqua to the forefront of Portland’s dining options. If you are passionate about hospitality, have a strong culinary background, enjoy a fresh challenge each day and thrive in a dynamic and versatile environment, we would love to hear from you. A passion for music, theatre and all things nautical will also help you settle into our diverse team. This is a chance for someone who has imagination and is passionate about creative cooking and wants the chance to try something new. If you prefer to stay glued to your phone whilst on shift serving the same food every week, this is not the job for you.
