Jurassic Coast House is situated on The Officer's Field, a stunning residential development built originally to house athletes during the 2012 Olympic sailing events. The property is located on the edge of the Isle of Portland on the World Heritage Coast in Dorset. With a large open plan kitchen / diner opening onto an enclosed garden, the house is perfect for guests to enjoy cooking, eating and r

elaxing together. The house has been finished and furnished to a high standard and includes luxuries such as a master bedroom suite with ensuite shower and a furnished terraced; this is the perfect location to enjoy a cool alfresco drink as you enjoy the view of the world famous Chesil beach. The enclosed back garden has AstroTurf, so is always a vivid green and has a mini- pitching green with golf clubs supplied. Jurassic Coast House is a short walk to the iconic National Sailing Academy where you may enjoy sailing or windsurfing. Alternatively if you prefer a gentler pursuit, you can walk part of the South West Coastal Path which runs right around the island, a favoured location for bird watchers also. Following the route, you will pass stone quarries where traditional Portland stone, used in iconic buildings such as St Paul's cathedral has been excavated. At the top of the Island, the famous Portland Bill light house can be viewed and there you will also find a couple of restaurants / cafes serving refreshments. The traditional Georgian seaside town of Weymouth is just a 15 minute drive (or bus journey) away where the long and sandy award winning beach has a traditional family appeal with donkey rides, trampolines and ice cream chalets. Although only 13 years old we have now fully replaced all the external wooden doors, windows and soffits, using Anglian Windows. This gives the house a brighter look internally (white on inside) with more glass window space than previous, to let light in and upgrades to preserve the heat over winter although the house is an Eco House and very warm generally. Also this provides a more modern, external appeal in dark grey. Each year we take the house off the holiday let market for a number of weeks to provide upgrades and improvements as well as fixing and maintaining the property to ensure it stays fit for purpose at the luxury end of the market. More work will be done to bring the remaining outside areas upto date after Christmas.

The 1st floor with the master bedroom and en-suite also includes a extremely spacious twin room. With a wall mounted, 46inch smart tv, large draws and wardrobe, it’s a great self contained floor for a family of 4. We also replicate this on the ground floor with a double room and twin and large bathroom. This means two families of 4 can have their space and not be walking over each other on their stay. JCH is a very spacious and large house and can easily swallow two families of 4 for the duration of their stay and cater for visiting guests.
