A new archway is to be elected soon outside Stranraer Tourist Information Centre to mark the start or finish of the new Rhins Coastal Path
The path passes through Portpatrick which makes an ideal base to explore this new footpath.

The Rhins of Galloway Coast Path is now nearing completion and the new archway sculpture and seating along with new landscaping will soon be installed at the start in Stranraer by the old Harbour Master's building. Follow this page for further updates.

Storm Kathleen is battering Portpatrick - this was taken with a long lens and from safety - lots of people out along the dorn rock and up at the car park so please be safe! ⚠️

Out with the old and in with the new. It was with great sadness that we realised our old front door needed a lot more than occasional tlc and yet another coat of paint. We reckon our old front door was the original from 1905, looking at old photos and the style of door. A local business was able to design and manufacture a replacement door as close to the original as possible. We chose acoya timber as being more sympathetic to the style of the house. We think they've done a pretty good job
