Tigh-na-Craobh is a holiday house on the Isle of Skye, designed by award winning local architects Rural Design. Located in the picturesque township of Braes and providing views to Ben Tianavaig and across the sea to Raasay, the house provides a perfect base to explore the Isle of Skye. It was designed in a contemporary style inspired by Skye’s traditional buildings and is constructed using sustain

able materials most of which have been locally sourced. The house has a large open plan living area and two bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room. In addition, there is family bathroom and a separate utility room. The double-height living space incorporates the kitchen, dining and sitting areas and enjoys great views to the surrounding hills and woods. A wood-burner provides both heating and a focal point and the French doors provide access to a timber deck. The kitchen has integrated appliances including fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Bosch oven and hob

The double bedroom has a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe area and an en-suite with under-floor heating and a walk-in shower. Upstairs is a twin room with views towards the Isle of Raasay and of the surrounding countryside. The whole house is beautifully furnished provides the perfect getaway whatever the weather. Outside, there is parking for two cars, a timber deck with seating and a barbecue and a large private garden with access to the river. There is so much to explore in the local area with seaside and hill walks and a wealth of wildlife and heritage to discover. Deer, eagles and otters are regularly spotted from the house while seals are a common sight by the shore and dolphins and whales occasional visitors as well. Nearby Portree provides a range of shops, bars and restaurants and Sligachan is an ideal place to walk in to the Black or Red Cuillins.
