🥃 Pssst .. did you know that the Hebridean Whisky Festival starts tomorrow?

Running from 5–12 September, the festival brings together distilleries across the Hebrides for a week of tastings, masterclasses, food pairings, live music and cèilidhs.

And if you’re staying with us on Skye, there are a couple of dates in particular to have on your radar:

It's me ... Mario! (or Tiny in this case) We had a rather lovely visitor stop by for a coffee yesterday. ☕🚲

Meet Tiny, who is currently cycling around Skye with his dog Rocco riding along on the back, raising money for PTSD.

He told Amanda he’s already been cycling for two years and will be spending another couple of weeks here on the island before continuing his travels, with Oban also on the route at some point.

So, if you happen to spot Tiny and Rocco making their way around Skye over the next fortnight, be sure to give them a wave and say hello! 👋

Every Bite Tells a Story. 🍴

September marks Scottish Food & Drink September, a month-long celebration of the people, produce and products behind Scotland’s food and drink.

It’s something we’re very happy to get behind at the hotel. Throughout September, we’ll be sharing a little more from our menus and putting the spotlight on some of the Scottish produce behind the plates coming out of our kitchen.

We went back to our Supervisor, Amanda, who’s become a bit of a regular source of local tips around here, and asked her a simple question: which season on Skye is her favourite?

Today, Chris, General Manager of our Skye hotels, visited Portree Nursery to present a donation from the Perle Hotels team, which will help towards developing the children’s outdoor areas.

Radio Skye joined us for the visit and spoke to both Chris and the nursery manager about the donation, so keep an ear out for their interview airing soon.
