Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - Just a few minutes' walk from our historic hotel!

It's official, the new Royal Marines Experience opens at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on 24 October!

Interactive galleries and Commando challenges will offer an immersive, multimedia journey through more than 360 years of Royal Marines history, whilst visitors can use VR and AR technology to step into the shoes of a Marine, or try physical and mental challenges that would face new recruits.

The result of a £15 million project to transform Boathouse 6, this brand new experience will feature displays including all 10 Victoria Crosses awarded to the Royal Marines.

Fans of the old Action Stations won't be disappointed either, as the new experience also includes a 270 square metre Royal Marines-themed Laser Quest arena.

Entry to the Royal Marines Experience will be included in the regular Portsmouth Historic Dockyard tickets.
