Our meetings feature a wide range of interesting activities covering most aspects of photography. We hope that there is something for everyone! There are regular illustrat
ed talks and practical sessions, which provide both knowledge and inspiration. A club competition runs throughout the year, with a new round every other month. There are separate categories for prints and projected digital images. The club has a small but very friendly membership, both male and female and with a wide age range. Newcomers, including absolute beginners, will be made very welcome. We look forward to meeting you! Non-members are welcome to come along to any club evening. Just turn up, you don't need to contact us in advance. Ask anyone there to point out one of the committee members who will answer any questions you may have. You will just need to pay the usual evening attendance fee (payable by members and non-members alike) to cover club costs (currently £3). You can attend two evenings like that as a trial before joining. Summer break - Friday evening shoots
During the summer break (June, July and August) Solent Camera Club aim to meet up every Friday (at various locations) to take advantage of the lighter evenings and go out shooting. In most cases non-members are very welcome to join us and there is normally no cost. A few of these evenings may be for members only in which case this will be clearly specified.
