What a week!
Leak in Cooper Cottage, fixed by plumber who then put his foot through the ceiling - all sorted with minimal impact on guests😀
While that was underway, the dishwasher in Pottowe Cottage failed and no repair possible over the weekend - simple solution, new dishwasher installed next day and failed one to scrap, oh and then Pottowe shower was too hot, really too hot! No plumber likely same day, but ours did come out on Saturday and found the back up immersion heater had fallen off😂 and the shower mixer had become damaged as a result, new one installed and problem solved for our very understanding guest.

Most guests understand that things break unexpectedly and are ‘happy’ to see that we respond promptly.

The village is close, only 10 minutes and turning left at the Cross, leads you to Codbeck Reservoir which offers a lovely level walk around it, the best route, I think, is to head back towards the village on the left side as the views open up as you walk, coming back at the roadside track, you pass through trees and lose the vistas.

🛒 Heading uphill on North End, I pass the delightful village store known as Top Shop. Its quaint appearance adds real character to the start of the walk.

Walking your dog alongside the River Tees at Yarm, quite a beauty spot and of course ‘it’s Yarm’ so a lovely town full of interesting independent shops and great places to eat and drink too, 20 minutes from Pottofields Farm

The studio/house & Vets Surgery and plenty more are well worth a visit - 20 minutes from Pottofields Farm, Ist Floor also accessible as they have ramps outside and a lift inside.

New boiler installed in Cooper Cottage yesterday, piping hot water and heating again, well done Star Heating.
