“Flora is the most peaceful place I have ever been to!” – our latest guest.

Welcome to June and summer. What a beautiful, sunny end to May we've had. There's nowhere better to be than Cornwall!
The geese have left their island and are proudly parading their young once again. And look what we spotted in the shepherd hut garden, just a metre from the decking!

The swallows have returned, sheep and lambs are grazing in the field, bluebells are in full bloom, and the Canadian Geese are back at their nesting area by the lake. There is nothing quite like the promise of spring and summer, particularly in our corner of North Cornwall.

Our self-contained shepherd hut is set within its own small, peaceful woodland. With cosy underfloor heating, an en-suite, private parking, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and laundered towels and bedding. It offers a comfortable retreat just a five-minute drive from the stunning North Cornwall coast. Suitable for one or two adults (sorry, no dogs).

Here we are at the start of December already! Are you looking for a quiet break over the busy festive period? We’ve just released our Christmas and New Year availability.

Flora, our shepherd hut, enjoyed a wonderful summer. As always, we welcomed delightful guests who came to recharge their batteries, enjoy the peace and quiet, explore North Cornwall, listen to the birds, and stargaze. Some travelled a long distance, while others came from as little as 10 miles away.

We also had a few firsts this year — our first marriage proposal (that we know of!), guests enjoying yoga in the woodland and garden, and the introduction of our new tabletop telescope for everyone to use.

If you’re looking for a peaceful break for one or two adults (sorry, no children or dogs) in the beautiful Cornish countryside, just a five-minute drive from the nearest beach, please get in touch.
