Redwood Valley is a secret refuge where kids can roam free and you can enjoy absolute peace and tranquillity. Our hidden valley has just two secluded yurts and a treetop cabin nestled on the edge of the woodland and overlooking the wildflower meadow, brook and our mighty Redwood. Whether you

are having a romantic meal under the stars after a cultural day in Hay on Wye or toasting marshmallows on a campfire with your family after a hike to the enchanted local waterfall, you really will feel as though the modern world is a million miles away. Hay hay hay. For two decades we have been taking a crop of hay off the meadow. The number of wildflowers has increased as a result - you can easily find 20 species on a short walk.

Looking for a break that's cool in every sense?

In Summer 2022 we experienced an extraordinary heatwave yet whilst we registered 37.2C in the shade in the valley, the woods were a pleasant 29.5C.

One of the many delights of woodlands is their ability to create temperate microclimates - cooler than surrounding unwooded areas in a heatwave and warmer in cool weather, they also shelter us from the rain allowing us to spend more quality time outdoors with our families no matter what the great British summer throws at us!
