The Walling family have been tenants of The Duchy Of Lancaster for over 60 years, with Andy & Lisa taking over the farm in 1986. It was a working dairy farm until 2008, when the milking cows were sold and it became an arable farm.

Investment has been made over the last two years to develop the farm into a commercial enterprise including the caravan site, storage facilities and commercial units which are at the opposite side of the farm to the caravan site..

Only recently opened in May 2019, Moss Lane CL is a modern well equipped site that provides peace and tranquillity whenever you visit the Fylde countryside. It is situated next to the farm house and superb garden, and although it is a working farm, there is only sporadic work taking place as there are only a few sheep and cattle present as most of the land is used for growing crops.

The site is perfectly level with hard standings of 15m x 4m wide, with 16amp electric and water available on each pitch. Free wifi is provided and the tv signal is excellent with no need for an aerial in most cases. There are toilet and shower facilities available in a purpose built area.

The views to the north & west are of the neighbouring farmland which is occupied by sheep, to the east is a splendid garden maintained by Lisa Walling, and to the south a hedge provides privacy from the quiet public road of Moss Lane, which although is narrow in places, has plenty of passing places to enable easy access to the site.

Our location

Moss Lane is only 5 miles from Junction 32 of the M6 and 1 mile from the A6 and the village of Bilsborrow, and is ideally placed to explore the tourist attractions of the North West especially the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland and the seaside towns of the Fylde coast.

Closer to the site we are blessed with a large number of pubs & restaurants, with 4 pubs within 1 mile including the busy Guys & Owd Nells, and the quaint Plough at Eaves. There are several restaurants within 5 miles covering all tastes including Italian, Indian, Chinese and of course English. There are two take aways in the two nearest villages of Bilsborrow & Barton.

There is a village shop & post office in Bilsborrow which can supply most peoples everyday needs, and a superb farm shop called Honeywells within 1 mile. The market town of Garstang is only 5 miles away, and has a full range of shops including four supermarkets, and a street market every Thursday.

Entertainment in the area

Local attractions also include Barton Grange Garden Centre & Flower Bowl (2 miles) which has a cinema, curling ring, tenpin bowling, crazy golf & golf simulators along with two restaurants, Kopper Kettle antiques (2 miles) shop, 6 golf courses within 8 miles, course fishing (5 miles) , Bowland Wild Boar Park (10 miles) along with lots of others to numerous to mention, but information is available on site for all the above and others.
