Set in the grounds of a listed old Kent farmhouse, unseen from the road, sits a pond surrounded by willow, elder and mature shrubs and our first Shepherds hut built by Sweethay in 2023. Willows Rest is waiting for you to indulge in its beauty and the idyllic offerings around it. Willows Rest sleeps two in a double bed set behind a curtained arch, a television, power point and reading lights as wel
l as its own window. There is a separate shower room with pedestal sink, heated towel rail and W.C. The kitchen area has an enamel sink with mixer tap, a double convector hob and oven. A refrigerator, grill, kettle and all the things you will need to cater for your stay, not forgetting the corkscrew. Willows Rest has its own log burner, smoke and heat detectors as well as a fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector and a fire blanket. A perfectly sized table with seating for two with a view overlooking the pond. Please see photos of the interior. Stepping from the hut onto the wide decking which overhangs the pond a little, you will find a table and chairs beneath a sheltered area where you can sit and watch a family of wild ducks which come every year to hatch and fledge their young, moorhens too or simply relax watching the fish glide lazily by. No fishing please, we know all five hundred fish by name and will know if Horacio or Nobby is missing. To the side of the decking is a bench table and a tucked away gas BBQ ideal cosy evenings. Logs for the log burner are stored in a waterproof unit on the decking as is the kindling, matches too. Here you will find you waste bins and a separate store for the chair cushions. Extra kindling and logs can be provided at a cost and we are happy to light the log burner for your arrival.
