We were lucky enough to attend the Supper Club at Gibbon Bridge in Chipping, just seconds down the road from Dusty Clough Barn

I’ve visited Gibbon Bridge all my life, growing up here in the Ribble Valley. It’s one of those places every local knows and loves. It’s been the setting for so many weddings, birthday celebrations and special occasions over the years. I even did my product knowledge and spa therapy training there many years ago Align your Birth & Womb Wellness

Gibbon Bridge has now been sold and is set to be transformed into a beautiful wellbeing destination by We at Dusty Clough can’t wait to see it reopen its doors in Spring 2029 and watch this much loved place begin an exciting new chapter.

This is the only photo I managed to take all evening, of my lovely friend, because I was too busy chatting, mingling and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere. Sometimes that’s the sign of a really good night. ✨

I can’t wait to share more with you as transforms this beautiful place 💛

We’ve not posted for some time so thought I’d better let you all know we are all very much still here!

We’ve been busy working and spending time at tidying the garden and looking after our sheep which live in the field next to Dusty Barn. Yesterday they had their very much needed sheering. The sheep seem to enjoy having their woolly coats trimmed off!

Stick around and I will post more about our little holiday let, who we are and what we get up to!

Lancashire or Yorkshire?

Now, we might be biased… seeing as our little slice of calm sits firmly in Lancashire 🌿

But we’re willing to hear arguments (politely, over a Yorkshire pud and a Lancashire hotpot!!)

To be honest we can’t choose really! Both amazing places with lots to offer and Dusty Clough isn’t too far away from the Yorkshire border if you did fancy a drive out to find out😜

Dusty Clough doesn’t half keep us on our toes… always something needing a bit of TLC 😅

Yesterday’s mission: a good tidy up and tackling the bigger jobs that have been quietly waiting their turn.

Big thanks to our Ben for grafting alongside us and getting stuck into the heavy bits — couldn’t have done it without you 🙌

While we got stuck in the kids play in the hot tub, play in the field and catch a lamb for a quick cuddle ! Everyone is happy 😊

Winter at Dusty means cutting back the dead bushes, clearing leaves and just a general tidy round inbetween guests coming and going.

Last weekend we did just that and we got the kids involved!

We’ve just had 1,200 whips delivered for a hedge that we’re planting in the field that sits next to Dusty Clough barn. Wish us luck as they need planting before Christmas and we don’t have much time😳🫣🤦🏻‍♀️😆

We’re looking forward to seeing the hedge grow along with the oak trees we’ve also got 🌳
