Re:treat Glamping is an exclusive 7-person luxury safari lodge positioned on it’s own private deck. This beautifully equipped ensuite canvas and wood safari lodge nestles privately on our 22-acre smallholding. That means you’ll be staying exclusively and you’ll be free to explore the natural surroundings and footpaths on your doorstep.
Re:treat has three bedrooms and can sleep 7 adults. There is a quirky and comfortable ‘den bed’ which houses a king size bed, a triple bunk room (double bed with single bunk above) and a beautiful four poster bedroom.
The large wood burning stove is at the hub of the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area providing heat on chillier nights and a place to cook up a feast.
The private wood clad separate shower room and cloakroom is accessed via the rear bedrooms. The shower-room accessed at the rear of the lodge has piping hot water with complementary paraben-free hair and body wash products.
The shower room has a fantastic large shower with piping hot water and a picture frame window with views across the field in the other bathroom there’s a flushing toilet and sink.
The raised front veranda of Re:treat is an impressive 3 metres deep and 8 metres wide and is the perfect space to relax….from watching the sun setting each evening or just congregating with friends and loved ones taking in the view of the pond and natural surroundings.
Re:treat has a well-stocked supply of outdoor games just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. You’ll find favourites such as cricket and rounders as well as the unusual Molkky; an addictive Finnish game for all the family using wooden skittles. There’s also an array of indoor games in the games chest ranging from classics such as cranium, dominoes and card games through to ‘dobble’; a modern take on ‘snap’ for all ages.
For inspiration, there are a range of books with suggestions for outdoor and indoor games. These include ‘The Stick Book’ with lots of fun and games using the humble stick through to ‘The Wild Weather book’ for fun and games even if it’s raining.
There are plenty of places to choose from to set up your games and have fun together. For outdoor games ‘the old orchard’ is a grassed area that is surrounded on the perimeter by mature trees. At the back of the old orchard, there’s a spinney area that’s perfect for den making.
Whether it’s relaxing on the jetty or pond dipping (nets provided) the pond area is an enchanting place to while away time. There’s also a small summerhouse complete with rocking chairs to take in the views of the pond and relax with a good book.
Across the way from the old orchard, you also have access via the public footpath to some pretty walks to nearby Pulloxhill, Silsoe and Flitton. There’s a great pub in each of the villages and each one is only a 25 minute walk away via the footpaths.
You can also pre-book extras such as home-made meals & fresh bread, locally sourced BBQ & breakfast packs, reflexology sessions & a fishing permit for the adjacent large pond.
