This Aberdaron beach... surely the epitome of a hidden gem? White sand, sandy sea bed, crystal waters, high buoy line to protect us from idiots who don't understand that power craft are dangerous, pizza and fizz from Caffi Traeth Aberdaron/Aberdaron Beach Cafe and so few people!! Walk 2 mins left of the village beach entrance and the beach is yours. Not sure where else in the world you would get all this?

Discovering new places around Aberdaron is our favourite thing to do and we've been amazed this year by the fab places we've found - today we enjoyed a walk to Plas Carmel for the most delicious, organic galletes with a bowl of delicious rose cider (or 2)... How have we not discovered this place before???

Every year we book out 3 weeks at our holiday cottage for ourselves. From May onwards we start to get excited, from July it's peak 'when are we going Mum?' then it's August and we get here... And it NEVER disappoints. The friendly locals and excellent local Largo @ The Ship Hotel, Aberdaron, the world class fish & chips , the pizza on the beach @ Caffi Traeth Aberdaron/Aberdaron Beach Cafe , bumping into old friends on the terrace of Gwesty Ty Newydd. And then there are the views...
