We have spent this winter exploring and scoring out of 10 our Sunday roasts. Here are our top scorers which we thoroughly recommend and are all within 15 minutes drive. Probably had our last roast of the season today (apart from Easter) until the clocks go back again. BBQ season here we come! X

WOW OUR 100TH REVIEW ON AIRBNB JUST IN!:
The location of the Coach House was ideal for us - 10 minutes walk to our relatives in town and 5 minutes walk to the West Cliff. The house was very clean and spacious, with a large bedroom and en suite with a lovely walk-in shower. The kitchen was a good size and very well equipped, and it was great to have the courtyard just outside, particularly on the really hot days. The Co-op along the road was a convenient place for milk and the occasional ready meal, although the number of restaurants in Ramsgate has certainly increased in recent years, especially in Harbour Street and the harbour area, so we ate out quite often. I can highly recommend the Coach House for a stay in Ramsgate. The location is quiet, and the approach through the shrubs and trees of the garden makes it a real little hideaway. Our hosts, Duncan and Verity, were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the visits of Nancy the dog.

If only all Sunday mornings were like this! A swim in still water, Sunday papers, delicious smoothie from and cruffin picked up from on our way to the beach hut.

First fig of the crop. My favourite of all our fruit trees. We are happy for our Coach House guests to help themselves to all the fruit in our garden as they pass through. X

We drove all the way to Stone Bay for breakfast at The Hut this morning but they now only take cash which of course we didn’t have on us (who does?!) so came back to Ramsgate and for coffee and bacon sandwiches. Such a lovely, calm spot and great view of the sea from this side of the pool.

Welcome to Ramsgate Brilliant to have somewhere that opens early for delicious coffee and pastries before work finally. Not a bad view to enjoy it with either although this time I saved the pain au chocolat for the garden!

I had a delicious massage today followed by a seaweed tea looking out at the sea. Recommend a visit as an added treat when staying with us
