Well this doesnt happen very often!!
Our latest guests left earlier today, and our next ones don’t arrive until tomorrow!!
Meanwhile the stars have aligned and not only so we not have anywhere to be, but the sun is shining and it is a stunning evening.
All we can hear are birds tweeting and sheep baaing!!

What's your favourite mode of transport to the pub?

Horse - Bring your horse on holiday and ride to the Kings Head - Ravenstonedale. Tie up rings by the outside seating!!
Bike - Lots of options here - I made it to the pub half a mile away The Fat Lamb Inn, Ravenstonedale but I am sure you might get a bit further!
Car - Even more options - but there is a stunning drive from Street Farm over to Keld and then on, up to the Tan Hill Inn, Britain,s highest Inn at 1732 ft A.S.L.
Walk - Depends on how far you want to walk, but we have a walk from Street Farm called "Walk of 3 pubs". Who knew you could do a pub crawl in the remote Howgill fells?
Train - Top tip - Get the train from Kirkby Stephen down to Settle or Skipton for lunch on the fabulous Settle to Carlisle Railway. On the return, hop off at Ribblehead to take a look at the incredible viaduct and have a drink at the Station Inn before relighting your train back to Kirkby Stephen. Just don't miss the last train - it is a hell of a walk back!!

So bring your clubs or rackets, pop some change in the honesty box and have fun!!
Next to the tennis court is a great childs play area so the kids can have fun if tennis is not their thing.
Or play football, which is right behind the Kings Head pub for after-game refreshments!
