Yeah. At last the boating lake full.

Live music, Punch & Judy, vintage fairground rides, craft activities and model boat displays will celebrate the re-opening of Redcar Boating Lake on Saturday 11 October 11am-3pm and everyone is invited! 🎉✨🌟
The free event, that tips a nostalgic nod to when the lake first opened in 1937, will recreate the town’s original Sunshine Stage on the bandstand.
🎙Britain’s youngest crooner, 15-year-old Redcar Tik Tok star George Robinson Redcar’s Crooner, will be performing a mixture of classic songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby.
💄The Lipsticks Vintage Trio will be singing the songs of yesterday in perfect harmony with killer choreography and bundles of energy!
🍋Lady Lemon Top will be entertaining the children with stories that celebrate Redcar’s history.
🎭And there will be a traditional Punch & Judy show – he’s behind you! – adding to the vintage themed entertainment.
🎨Free craft sessions with Creative Village CIC will run throughout the event with families invited to make model boats from recycled materials.
🖋Kirkleatham Museum & Grounds are reprinting original vintage postcards and visitors will be encouraged to write messages of their dreams and hopes for their town on the back.
📚Tees Women Poets (most recently spotted as the spooktastic spellcasters at Between the Tides Festival) will once again be in residence to collect your memories of Redcar
🐢Greener Lavelle will be bringing along their giant Sarga the Sea Turtle puppet to mingle with the crowds.
⛵And, of course, what is a boating lake without boats! Redcar Model Boat Club will be at the centre of it all with their collection of model boats.

Hopefully the Ship will be back open when they return.

+ 3rd time we've stayed in this lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped and just a short walk from the beach. It's a credit to its owners we love it .

- What's not to like.oh apart from the ship across the rd being shut down but we were fine having a walk up to the zetland
