Nutfield Priory is a unique Victorian mansion set high on a ridge in Surrey, complete with health club and spa. Part of Hand Picked Hotels.

Dating back to 1872 and set in 12 acres high on Nutfield ridge, Nutfield Priory Hotel is a four star country house hotel and spa with a 2 AA rosette restaurant in Redhill. Being one of the best located conference venues in Surrey, Nutfield Priory Hotel offers all inclusive conference packages. The Cloisters Restaurant offers traditional British food with a modern twist accompanied by the breathtaking views of the Surrey and Sussex countryside. Nutfield Priory offers 60 bedrooms, 15 of which are individually designed, large feature bedrooms, with lavish artwork offering the likes of sleigh beds and original features. The suites are particularly special, one offering its own private balcony terrace and another which occupies three floors in the tower of the hotel. Adjacent to the hotel is the health club & spa, offering a fully-equipped gym, dedicated free-weights room, indoor pool, sauna and steam rooms, exercise studio and squash courts, 7 treatment rooms, plus a cafe bar and garden.

Our private dining experiences are a particular favourite. The Celebrations package begins with a glass of Ch*****ne on arrival and a selection of canapés, before everyone sits down to enjoy a four-course meal, followed by tea, coffee and petits fours. With your own private dining room, there's time to enjoy good food, conversation and the company of those around you.

The setting is part of the pleasure, too. Our Gibson Room is known for its ornate ceiling and period detailing, while the more intimate Worth Room is a lovely choice for a smaller gathering.

Of course, you don't need a grand occasion to enjoy a good glass of Ch*****ne. A drink in the Bar before dinner at our 2 AA Rosette Cloisters Restaurant can be just as lovely, particularly when there's no rush to leave.

If you've visited Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa before, you'll know there's quite a lot to admire before you've even stepped through the front door.

Built between 1872 and 1874 for Joshua Fielden, the house was designed by architect John Gibson, who looked to the Palace of Westminster for inspiration. Its Gothic windows, carved stonework and decorative details are all part of that original Victorian design, and much of the craftsmanship has survived for more than 150 years.

Step inside and you'll find oak panelling, stained glass and beautifully detailed rooms that still retain so much of the house's character. It's particularly lovely to think that these same architectural features would have been familiar to the Fielden family when Nutfield Priory was their private residence.

Whether you're joining us for afternoon tea, having dinner in Cloisters Restaurant or staying for the weekend, do take a little time to explore the house. There are some wonderful details to discover along the way.
