Making the most of sunny evenings & summer produce…

We love that you really don’t have to look far in Cornwall to find fantastic produce and passionate local businesses❤️

This one was a proper taste of Cornwall — fresh courgettes and tomatoes from Trevaskis Farm, their local pork sausages, creamy Cornish Yarg from Lynher Dairies and fresh pasta from Cornwall Pasta Co. Finished with a little Chilli Hit from Cornish Sea Salt and a drizzle of Ninemaidens Cornish Honey, it all came together to make one very delicious bowl of pasta. 🍝

We feel very lucky to have so many brilliant local producers creating such good things right here in Cornwall. ❤️

The sunny evenings might be coming to an end, but we’re making the most of those last few homegrown flavours while we can! .yarg

On Wednesday 12th August 2026, Cornwall will enjoy one of the best views in the UK of a spectacular partial solar eclipse, with around 95–96% of the Sun covered by the Moon just before sunset.

🕕 Eclipse begins: 6:18pm
🌘 Maximum eclipse: 7:16pm
🌅 Ends: Around 8:10pm

🌊 Top tips for the best experience

✔️ Find a spot with a clear view of the western horizon.
✔️ Arrive early and make an evening of it.
✔️ Don't forget certified solar eclipse glasses – never look directly at the Sun without proper eye protection.
✔️ Bring a blanket or camping chair and enjoy one of nature's most incredible displays.

A rainy morning gave us a chance to knock up some new benches. 99% recycled, just a handful of new screws.
We’ve put them in Starling field, the perfect place to watch the sun go down over West Cornwall.

A day in the life

1. Treat the swimming pool, keeping it crystal clear.
2. A blocked elsan point lead to a search for the culprit.
3. Adding 2x electric meters for new seasonal pitches.
4. Repair earth cable
5. Repair upright go hookup box that was damaged in the wind.
6. New clothes dryer. Previous one broken on the storm.
7. Replace faulty MCB.
8. Move some touring caravans back to storage.
9. Clear up a tree that was damaged in the storm.
10. Shopping for some new cleaning products.
11. Caravan wash. It was a bad one.
12. Get the bins out ready for emptying tomorrow.
13. Clean the toilets.
