The Farmers Arms in Muker played host to Prince William this week. His trip to Swaledale also included another favourite venue of ours - the Dales Bike centre for cake ! For more pics see comments.

What an incredible day here in Swaledale!

The team at the Farmers Arms were honoured to host HRH Prince William for lunch during his visit to Swaledale. He enjoyed a hearty lunch of chicken and ham pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy, which got the royal seal of approval 👑🥧

It's certainly a day we will never forget! 🤩

Swaledale mums: the true definition of patience? 🙌

Thanks for sticking around while I’ve been a bit quiet on here - life gets busy at times 😅 I’ve still been out and about with the camera (mostly photographing sheep, obviously 🐑).

How wonderful for Samuel west to support our wonderful theatre. Perhaps the next stop should be a visit to the lion Langthwaite which is another Siegfried haunt/ original filming location.

A little follow-up from this morning’s snowfall post…

The snow didn’t just arrive early — it stayed, and the sunshine finally broke through to reveal Swaledale at its absolute best. ❄️☀️

These are a few photographs from later in the day, when the light turned crisp and golden and the whole dale seemed to sparkle. From the village rooftops to the barns tucked into the hillsides, everything looked freshly dusted and beautifully bright.

Winter really knows how to put on a show here.
