s the only Arts and Crafts ‘model village’ in Wales. The Elan Valley is part of the rugged Cambrian Mountains, an unspoilt conservation area made more compelling by dams, rivers and reservoirs. Keen anglers can enjoy the abundance of wild brown trout and grayling The Elan Valley Trail is a hidden gem with surfaced paths following the route of the old railway line; ideal for walkers and cyclists with cycle hire available at the Elan Valley Visitors Centre within 1 mile of the property. Further afield is Rhayader, said to be the oldest town in mid Wales and home to the Red Kite feeding station, or visit Powys Castle a medieval fortress perched high on a rock above its world-famous garden terraces. The stylishly finished accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room, 1 further double and 1 twin. Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Downstairs WC. Lounge/diner: with TV, DVD & BluRay and woodburner. Kitchen/diner: well-equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Utility room: with washing machine. Outside: enclosed landscaped gardens with numerous seating areas and direct access to RSPB Carngafallt Nature Reserve. Amenities: gated gravelled area for parking. Bed linen, electric, towels, central heated and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 well-behaved dog by arrangement. Location: pub, restaurant 1 mile, shop 3 miles. Arrival: 3pm. Dogs are charged at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
