Coastal Path Update in Gwynedd

The Wales Coastal Path has reopened:
• between Towyn and Porth Ychain, Tudweiliog
• and from Porthor to Anelog.

Although these paths are open the condition of the paths is uneven in places and so we ask you to take care.

The path remains closed:
• at Trefgarig, Plas Llangwnadl, following recent flooding. It is expected to reopen soon.
• The main route in the Nefyn and Porthdinllaen area also remains closed following a recent landslide but the alternative route remains in use.

Members of the public are asked to respect the signs and barriers in place, as they have been installed to protect public safety.

Newydd ar gyfer 2026, gan ddechrau ym Mhorth y Swnt, mae’r llwybr yn eich arwain ar hyd Llwybr Arfordir Cymru i gildraeth Porth Meudwy, gan fwynhau golygfeydd trawiadol o Fae Ceredigion cyn dychwelyd ar hyd y ffordd i Aberdaron.

Gallwch ddewis pa mor bell i fynd. Rhedwch y cylch ddwywaith am yr her 10K, neu rhowch gynnig ar y 5k os yw hynny’n fwy addas i chi. Does dim pwysau o gwbl i gwblhau’r 10K; anadlwch yr awyr môr ffres a mwynhewch y golygfeydd wrth redeg!

Mae’r llwybr wedi’i raddio’n las yn y canllaw llwybrau rhedeg oherwydd natur anwastad y tir a’r pellter o’r man cychwyn. Byddwch yn barod am lwybrau troellog arfordirol gyda grisiau serth ar adegau, felly mae esgidiau addas a gofal yn hanfodol.

Mae’r 10K cyntaf am 9yb ddydd Sul 25 Ionawr ac mae’r digwyddiad yn cael ei gynnal ar y pedwerydd Sul bob mis, ac eithrio ym mis Mai, Gorffennaf ac Awst. Am manylion llawn, map a dyddiadau am 2026 dilynwch y dolen isod i'r gwefan;

Start the year with a new challenge with the Trust10 trail run in Aberdaron on Sunday 25 January!

New for 2026, and starting at Porth y Swnt, the route takes you along the Wales Coast Path to the secluded cove of Porth Meudwy, taking in spectacular views of Cardigan Bay before returning along the road to Aberdaron.

You can choose how far you go. Complete the loop twice for the full 10K challenge or take on the first 5K and call it a day. There’s absolutely no pressure to finish the full 10K; just breathe in the fresh sea air and enjoy the scenery as you run!

The route is graded blue on the trail running guide due to uneven terrain and its distance from the starting line. Expect narrow coastal footpaths with occasional steep steps, so good footwear and care are essential.

The first 10k event will be held at 9am on Sunday 25 January. Following trails will take place on the fourth Sunday of every month, except in May, July, and August. For full details, a map of the route and list of dates, follow the link below to our webpage;
