Good morning all! On this gloomy Sunday morning I thought I’d cheer you up with some bright photos of our recent makeover! We’ve been promising this for a few months but the wait is finally over! There is the odd final touch to sort but the soft furnishings are all in situ. We’ve kept a subtle colour scheme running through the cottage and we are rather chuffed with it. A local lady has made everything from the blinds, curtains and cushions to the headboard, valance and lampshades.

Little late posting this but we had an afternoon celebrating our local area last Sunday because we never seem to get chance to as there is always a job to do!!
As the weather was so glorious we went for a walk at Studley Royal Deer Park the deer although a little unpredictable due to the rut were magnificent and what can I say about the autumn tints 👌 the local area really is picturesque this year. As you do with any good walk we followed it up with a Masham brewed pint of Theakstons Brewery at the local Sawley Arms.
Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon or any afternoon if you are on holiday with us, don't miss this walk if you are staying with us 😊.

🎃 Left a little stack of pumpkins at the cottage door because I thought they looked cute 😍 even cuter this morning to see the guests had carved some 🎃 great job getting in the halloween spirit 👍🎃👻🧹🧙‍♀️

🍂🍄🍁 AUTUMN 🍂🍄🍁

I love every season change but I think summer to autumn is my favourite 😍

A quick walk to the lake with the dogs listening to all the sounds of nature 👌 the weather is really helping to get that crunch from the leaves!!

The swans have managed to keep all four cygnets this year but they were evading a group photo 🦢🙈 And what can I say about that cute little red toadstool 🍄

30 minutes of serenity to the hectic schedule that is life ☺️ if you are staying with us soon this walk is a must do straight from the door

Good morning all! We have woken up to some truly beautiful sunrises these past few weeks. The autumn tints are starting to appear too which is always a treat. Talking of treats, we have been rather spoilt with some goodies from Betty’s for helping our latest guests out with car issues. You get the full service here at Lake Farm Cottage! We were very happy to help though 🙌🏻

Good morning all, it’s been a while since we posted on our social media, the summer has been so busy! We have decided to give the cottage a much needed glow up, the fabric samples have arrived and we can’t wait to get started! We have a fabulous local lady who will be making new soft furnishings for the cottage, so watch this space for some new photos once it’s complete! There’s a real autumnal feel in the air this morning, don’t forget to book your winter break with us and remember you can book direct! 🎃🍂🍁🍃
