I love Deacon Blue 🎶 yes that Deacon Blue! 💙

What’s this got to do with a holiday cottage, I hear you ask? 👀

Well… Deacon Blue are playing live at The Piece Hall on 8th & 9th July 🎤✨ and there are still tickets available on Ticketmaster 🎟️

And here’s the best bit… the barn is just 6 miles from the venue 🐑🌿 and still has availability on those very dates! It's a fabulous venue and one at which you can actually see the performers with around 7,5,00 capacity in a Georgian market square.

🍰 Help us settle a VERY important barn debate - Victoria sponge or chocolate fudge cake with a cuppa? ☕👀

When you arrive at the barn, we like to make sure you can relax with a proper cuppa, fresh milk and a slice of something delicious waiting for you.

The barn is just a 7-minute drive (yes, I’ve timed it 😂🚗) from Bolster Moor Farm Shop, and their bakery counter is honestly worth the trip alone while you’re staying.

Hubby thinks a traditional Victoria sponge is the absolute winner… but me and the teen are completely seduced by their chocolate fudge cake 🍫

Especially after a quick burst in the microwave so it goes warm, gooey and slightly melty 😍

Friday 6th March is your first opportunity this year to climb to the top of Wainhouse Tower! Ascents will take place at 10am, 11am and 12 Noon.
