We welcomed the European Boxwood and Topiary Society during their visit to Rochester and Cooling Castle, they enjoyed a Ploughman’s Buffet set up with dessert course in the lovely sunshine here at the Horseshoe and Castle. So with our event today we have let the kitchen take a well earned rest.

Easter is a wrap, and what a wonderful &”Egg”cellent sunny time we all had. Lots of championship titles were challenged tonight with our Monday night games players and our kitchen worked their socks off all weekend. A full house with Easter room guests this morning & the most popular breakfast choice of the week had to be the Eggs Guatemala - smashed avocado, hint of chilli and lime, served on buttery Brioche and topped with poached eggs and a delicious holandasie sauce.
Chatting and serving our lovely guests is always a great start to a busy Sunday at the Shoes.
