River Crouch evenings! 💛

One of the things we absolutely love about being here is having all of this right on our doorstep.

When the weather plays ball, the River Crouch is just beautiful, paddle boards out, kayaks on the water, boats bobbing around and those gorgeous big Essex skies.

You can spend the day exploring the river, walking the sea walls and nature reserve, messing about on the water… then head back, pour a drink and watch the sun go down.

It’s easy to forget you’re still in Essex sometimes.

This is summer on Wallasea Island.

Wedding weekends at Grapnells Lodge 🤍🥂

The lovely Michaela booked out both of our properties for her daughter Phoebe’s wedding weekend, filling them with their family, bridesmaids and the bridesman. 💁🏻‍♂️🤍

And THIS is exactly why we love having two houses next door to each other.

Everyone is together, but with plenty of space. Getting-ready chaos, glasses of fizz, music playing, outfits everywhere, lots of laughter and a whole lot of excitement. 🥂✨

We absolutely loved having Phoebe, her family and her wedding crew stay with us and seeing both houses full of people celebrating such a special weekend. 🤍

Because one day is never quite enough for a celebration this big.

Congratulations Phoebe, we hope married life is every bit as fabulous as your wedding weekend looked! 🤍🥂

Some scenes just stop you in your tracks...

This was the view outside our holiday lets last night, looking across the River Crouch towards Burnham-on-Crouch.

As the sun began to set, the whole estuary was bathed in golden light.

It's moments like these that remind you to slow down and appreciate the peace, wildlife and natural beauty that make Wallasea Island so special.
